London’s Camden High Street is set to install a Hollywood-esque ‘Walk of Fame’ to commemorate the area’s musical heritage.
Who’s Jack are reporting that the project will see discs inlaid into the pavement, rather than hand-printed moulds like the Californian equivalent.
There is said to be five categories of nominations: “innovative” artists, “influential” artists, music “icons”, “unsung heroes” and “industry leaders”.
Forerunners of who will be the first to be honoured include Amy Winehouse, Blur and Led Zeppelin. Winehouse especially looks likely to be remembered in September, marking what would have been her 30th birthday.
