Best Fit to curate pop-up shows at End of the Road next month
Best Fit will organise a series of surprise performances and sessions at this year’s End of the Road Festival.
Joining up with the Dorset-based event as online media partner, we’ll bringing some of this year’s line up to locations around the festival site, including the forest-shrouded piano stage, for short sets and collaborations.
Secret performances have been a staple of End of the Road since its incarnation with the likes of Okkervil River, The Leisure Society, Poor Moon and The Low Anthem taking part. Last year saw Patti Smith give an impromptu reading and Q&A ahead of her headline appearance.
Sigur Ros, Belle and Sebastian and David Byrne & St Vincent headline the three day event, which also feature Efterklang, Jens Lekman, Money, Caitlin Rose and Savages.
“Joining up with End of the Road for something like this has always been a dream we’ve had,” says Best Fit Founder Rich Thane. “The festival has been built on the same passion and love of music that sits at the heart of the site and they’ve grown into the best small festival anywhere in the world, without exception”
End of the Road’s founder Simon Taffe adds: “It’s great to be working with The Line of Best Fit. They have been keen supporters from the early days of festival, and we feel we each do what we do for no other reason than the love of music and sharing that with others.”
Tickets for the festival, which takes place from 30 August – 1 September, are almost sold out. The full running order can be found below:
