BBC Sound Poll 2014 longlist announced
The nominations for the BBC Sound of 2014 poll has been announced, featuring fifteen of the most hyped and hotly-tipped acts at the moment chosen by a judging panel of music insiders and tastemakers.
Among those unveiled via the BBC website are Best Fit favourites BANKS, Chloe Howl, FKA Twigs, Jungle, Sampha, Chance The Rapper and Luke Sital-Singh.
They’re joined by Aussie-Scandi duo Say Lou Lou, Disclosure collaborator Sam Smith, Brighton twopiece Royal Blood, Lewisham producer MNEK, R&B songstresses Ella Eyre and Kelela, Bristol folk-popper George Ezra and singer-songwriter Nick Mulvey.
The top 5 will be announced in January. Last year’s prize was won by L.A sisterly trio Haim.
