Bad Religion to release festive album Christmas Songs
-
Getting into the festive spirit nice and early, seminal punk band Bad Religion have announced that they are to join the ranks of Kelly Clarkson and Tamar Braxton in releasing a Christmas album this year.
No strangers to performing rocked-up versions of traditional carols in their live sets, Epitaph Records have revealed that the LA group have “threatened to record an album of seasonal classics for years, and now they’ve gone and done it”.
As well as a new mix of the nominally Christmassy 1993 release ‘American Jesus’, all the usual suspects are set to receive the punk treatment: from ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing’, to ‘White Christmas’.
Christmas Songs will be released 29 October. Check out the full tracklist below.
1. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
2. O Come All Ye Faithful
3. O Come, O Come Emmanuel
4. White Christmas
5. Little Drummer Boy
6. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
7. What Child Is This?
8. Angels We Have Heard On High
9. American Jesus (Andy Wallace Mix)
