Arcade Fire confirm new album for October
After months of rumours, speculation and much anticipation, Arcade Fire have finally confirmed that they indeed have a new album on its way – scheduled for a October release.
Previous reports suggested that the record would surface in September, but now it seems to have been pushed back a bit. The band announced the news via Twitter to a random fan earlier today:

Revolt.tv, the media network owned by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, had previously said that the record has “been recorded in multiple locations over the course of the last year”.
It’s almost three years since the band’s last record, 2010′s Grammy-winner The Suburbs, and it’s widely known that LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy is involved in the album in some way – either as producer or, in Murphy claims, more of a ‘creative consultant’. The producer of The Suburbs, Markus Dravs, also has a role in shaping the record’s sound.
At a show last December, the Montreal band performed a number of new track under the name ‘Les Identiks’, with the material having a ‘fun, dance-y and groovy’ sound according to Arcade Fire Tube.
