Africa Express album announced, featuring Damon Albarn, Nick Zinner, Brian Eno, Ghostpoet & more
Africa Express, Damon Albarn’s charity project which sees Western musicians team up with African counterparts, has announced its first ever album release.
Following the 2012 Africa Express train tour, Albarn and co have now recorded Africa Express Presents: Maison Des Jeunes in Mali, out 9 December via Transgressive.
Among the Western artists taking part on the release are Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner, Ghostpoet, Brian Eno, members of Metronomy and Django Django, Holy Other, Lil Silva, Two Inch Punch and, of course, Albarn himself.
Check out its full tracklisting beneath. A live performance will take place at London’s Oval Space on 9 December.
