With the Swedish release of Elliphant’s debut album just around the corner, the Stockholm based artist today reveals a more refined and overtly less aggressive new sound with the ‘Could It Be’.
Having signed with Dr Luke’s (Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne, Pink) Sony imprint label Kemosabe earlier in the year, Ellinor Olovsdotter’s musical direction has slowly morphed throughout 2013. From the hard hitting dancehall vibes of early singles ‘Ciant Hear It’ and ‘Down On Life’ to the lighter, more pop orientated ‘Music Is Life’, with the lyrically paranoid but sonically powerful ‘Could It Be’, it’s clear that chart domination is looming ever closer for Elliphant.
Her natural and steady paced progression as an artist one of the most interesting musical developments of the year, watch a domestic nightmare unfurl in the video to ‘Could It Be’ below.
