Port Of Spain dock at paradise with enchanting debut pop track “Blind”
The latest pop duo to whisk us away to the calm climates of Australia is Port Of Spain, a sparkly pop pair from the beautiful Bondi Beach.
Their debut track “Blind” blends subtle and sparkly electronica with soft, whisper-like vocals from frontwoman Amy Rose. The use of subtle heartbeat percussion adds a persistent tone, contrasting with the velvety vocals and dainty instrumentals that flow with just enough electricity to light up the night sky. The fragility of the track is major selling point, urging the listener to delve into the lush landscape painted by the Bondi Beach duo.
Incorporating flashes of '00s electronica, Port Of Spain are certainly kicking off their musical journey with a dreamy, melt-in-your-mouth pop ballad.
Speaking about their debut track, the pair say: "'Blind' was actually written about three years ago and originally we arranged it with just piano and harp but we felt like the lyric deserved more depth than just an acoustic vibe. The song is all about learning to let go of other people's expectations of you and how caring less instead of more is sometimes a really healthy thing.”
