Watch: Petter Carlsen - "You Could Be The One" [Premiere]
Norwegian singer-songwriter Petter Carlsen has pulled the trigger on his live video for heartbreaking soundscape "You Could Be The One".
Carlsen performs the frostbitten ballad avec only a piano's pitter-patter for the most part, with zithers, guitars, chimes and ice-shatter percussion swirling in surreptitiously as the music unfolds. The imperfections in his voice are gorgeous reminders of raw emotion and a refreshing natural pop essence. It's a shiver-up-the-spine track, warts and all.
Of the track, Carlsen says:
"I was deeply in love when I wrote this track. Make this world my home. This is a live version that me and The Lonely Drummer Orchestra recorded this spring together with our good friends Rein Film."
