SHVLLOWS aim for the bright lights on uplifting pop jam "Zurich"
Edinburgh quartet SHVLLOWS jet off to the heavens on sparkling pop number "Zurich".
It smacks of the glitzy '80s pep that Passion Pit proffer, with chunky neon-lit emotion and a chorus that would feel right at home at the end of a John Hughes flick. SHVLLOWS make a bold statement here, and make themselves a prospect who're impossible to ignore.
Despite the heady highs that "Zurich" exudes, SHVLLOWS aren't peddling pure hedonism - the song is actually exploring "anxiety and self doubt, and the extreme lengths that people will go to overcome them," and offering hope to those needing a light in the darkness.
