Watch: Mark Lanegan Band - "Sad Lover" [Premiere]
Grunge god Mark Lanegan is back with a solo EP and album this year and has revealed the video for new song, “Sad Lover”. It premieres today on Best Fit.
Set against a montage of alternating drive-by scenery, “Sad Lover” hears Lanegan’s trademark gravely vocal sit atop pulsating Krautrock beats and drone guitars that move perfectly in time with visual kinetics. It’s hypnotic, inspiring stuff that makes you want to start the day before it’s even begun.
No Bells On Sunday EP, featuring “Sad Lover”, will be released as vinyl-only on 25 August. Mark Lanegan Band’s new full-length, Phantom Radio, is out in the Autumn via Heavenly Recordings. The aforementioned EP will become available digitally and on CD as part of a Deluxe edition in time with the album’s release.
