Following on from July's beautifully building "Slopes", Litany have returned with a second cascading piece of chillwave-inspired electronica.
The Harrogate duo - 20-year-olds Beth Cornell and Jake Nicolaides - are producing a sound beyond their years, pulling inspiration from the production skills of genre-defininers SOHN and James Blake to catalyse interest beneath stunningly simple but infectious pop melodies.
Once again, Cornell's vocals weave effortlessly above organically growing layers of synth, clicking percussion and eerie, reverb-heavy FX. "I loved him the one I love / the one I loved most in the world" she coos with cold passion as Nicolaides' production work crescendos subtly to a patchwork quilt of vocal samples and kinetic noise.
Litany join the likes of synth-pop hopefuls Treasureseason in the growing line of UK talent. Available as a free download, take a good "Look” below.
