Listen: Silent Wave - "Dream On Dream On" [Premiere]
Gothenburg two-piece Silent Wave have pulled the trigger of electropop anthem "Dream On Dream On". Silent Wave are Hans Olsson Brookes, a producer (I Break Horses, Junip), and Tildeh Hjelm, originally an art student and solo musician, who teamed up after the former asked to produce a few of Hjelm's songs.
"Dream On Dream On" is their latest track. It's a throbbing, burbling pop track with clicking beats and sc-fi embellishments. This is space-age neo-pop that's got the art of the chorus locked down tight. It's on par, in the best possible way, with the karaoke staples that have been ingrained into the worldwide consciousness. Essentially, as catchy and emotive as you can feasible get music to be.
Speaking about the track, the duo said:
"Songs like Dream On Dream On writes itself. They are waiting to be written, for the right moment to come. It comes to visit almost every night. You just have to decide to let or not to let life in. Time changes and nothing stays the same..."
