Listen: Great Cynics - "Lost In You" [Premiere]
Great Cynics are previewing new album I Feel Weird with lead single "Lost In You", which you can now hear exclusively on Best Fit.
It's a rip-roaring drag race through skate-punk, Cali rawk and pop glory. It's that feel-good noise that'll whip you right back to Strongbow-soaked summers, first kisses and treks to the beach, sans parentals - splurge on the pep, and get giddy about the prospect of Great Cynics delivering this in the great outdoors, with riffs basking in the sun.
Speaking about the album, frontman Giles Bidder says:
“I Feel Weird ended up being the fastest and poppiest songs we’ve done. We wanted to cut the crap and made a raw record, so we recorded it live and finished it in just over a week. Its pop simplicity was something we wanted this record to convey. If our last two records were about moving out on your own and discovering an exciting new world, this one’s realising that the only person you have is yourself in a completely up and down world.”
I Feel Weird is set for release on 13 April via Specialist Subject.
