Listen: Ewert and The Two Dragons - "Pictures"
Often all-too-overlooked due to its Scandinavian neighbours, the Estonian music scene is quietly bubbling away, producing increasingly attention-deserving artists; none more so than their most successful export Ewert and The Two Dragons.
The four-piece have been making a name for themselves as an indie-folk outfit for the best part of half a decade and have nailed-down a sound that translates globally with effortless ease: simple, infectious melodies weave away above metronomic rhythms and beautifully bucolic instrumentation, nodding carefully at the likes of Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers and Vance Joy.
Indeed "Pictures", the first single from their forthcoming third full-length - to be released early 2015 on the legendary Sire Records - enjoys production from Ryan Hadlock who has worked with the latter two aforementioned artists, and it pays off brilliantly.
