Listen: Apidae - "Turning Tides" [Premiere]
Producer twosome Apidae are sharing their new single "Turning Tides" exclusively on Best Fit.
They've drawn comparisons to Caribou and Battles, but its fans of Radiohead and Thom Yorke's aching falsetto that should really prick up their ears for "Turning Tides". With hypnotic, forward-thinking production and exotic pitched-percussion, the pair, who formed at the University of Kent, make great strides to create boundary-bashing electronic music. The beats are pure dance, the synths free-floating orbs of serenity, and Drew JH York's vox glide with impassioned solemnity - put simply, this is a very special track.
The "Turning Tides" maxi-single/mini-EP will drop 9 February via Dumont Dumont.
