Leeds-based trio Actor debut echo-focused pop cut "Baby Cries" [Premiere]

Actor is made up of vocalist Louisa Osborn, producer Chris Mulligan and drummer Ste Anderson, who began writing in a converted bomb factory in Leeds. They make music focused on characters and stories - Osborn says of the process: "I like to feel like I’m Actor and storyteller, ultimately immersed in every song but not defined by anything or anyone within them."

"Baby Cries" is a shimmering reverb-laced ode that smacks of Daughter or The xx with richer textures. Osborn's voice perches above a swirling deluge of guitars, synths and percussion, occasionally dipping under to weave with the echoes.

The band are set to open for Lone Wolf at his last ever show next month at the Brudenell Social Club.
