Brooklyn-based foursome Iris Lune have unfurled their latest offering, "Triplets", a galloping psych-pop gambit with dreamy strands.
Comprising Ella Joy Meir, Asher Kurtz, Angelo Spampinato and Aaron Liao, the quartet's sound blurs through electronic and organic worlds, never quite being either fully. Inspired by "Meir’s roots in Middle Eastern and Israeli folk", as well as disparate icons like Bjork and Salvaor Dalí, Iris Lune don't really sound like anything you've heard. It's vaguely ritualistic, warm and comforting, but deeply unsettling at points too. It morphs on a whim, and every listen is fascinating.
