Priest accidentally blasts Black The Ripper tune during livestreamed mass
Last week an Irish priest accidentally blared a Black The Ripper song at the beginning of a mass that was livestreamed, and handled it like an absolute pro.
Back in April last year, rapper Black The Ripper died in Montserrat. His cause of death was revealed months later, with his family confirming he died from "a sudden heart attack".
Despite passing last year, Black The Ripper's spirit is living on, and has made headlines over the past week after Donegal priest Father Pat accidentally played part of his 2007 song "Young Prophet" during a livestreamed mass.
Father Pat had just started his opening blessing on Wednesday morning (3 March) when the introduction of Black The Ripper's "Young Prophet" drowned out the priest's blessing. Father Pat handled the mishap like a total pro, and managed to stop the track a few seconds in before chuckling to himself and saying, "Black the ripper. A wee bit of rap in the morning, wakes you up."
My Local Priest had some technical difficulties on his livestream today. Handled it very well, I must say! from r/ireland
After the music mishap, Kincasslagh Parish updated their Facebook page with a screenshot of Black The Ripper's "Young Prophet" song, and wrote, "Please stand for our opening hymn....."
